Concerns mounting over the measure to control oil at Gulf bay

BPIn a letter to the US authorities by Ed Crooks, BP plans has planned to gather the capacity up to 53,000 barrels per day by the end of this month from the seeping pipelines of oil in the well at the Gulf of Mexico. However, the company takes no guarantee to trap down all the seeping oil.

The operation may crop up concerns over the safety issue as it seems to be beyond the capacity of both BP and the industry practice. The letter from BP letter to US Coast Guard Rear-Admiral James Watson regarding their new plans and the major concerns over the safety issue had been set out.

Further the admiral had asked BP to present all the details regarding the additional containment capacity after the government has raised the revised estimated value of oil rushing out from the well.

According to the belief of the Coast Guard 35,000 b/d is gushing out from the well, as compared with the authority's estimate of mere 5,000 b/d, and has prescribed BP to add in more significant additional capacity to let access the technical failures on the ships during the operations.

The estimates range from the capacity to collect 60,000-80,000 b/d by the mid-July. On Sunday the staggering BP tracked oil at the rate of approximately 15,000 b/d with the help of containment cap.
