Buy Hero Honda, Target Rs 1575: Hunny Tarika, Fairwealth Securities

Hero HondaStock analyst Hunny Tarika, Fairwealth Securities has maintained 'Buy' rating on Hero Honda to achieve a short term target of Rs 1575.

Mr. Tarika said that interested investors can buy the stock around Rs 1430 with a stop loss of Rs 1349.

The shares of the company on June 10, opened at Rs 1498.85 on BSE on the Bombay Stock Exchange. Current EPS & P/E ratio stood at 64.19 and 22.82 respectively. The share price has seen a 52-week high of Rs 1505 and a low of Rs 630.15 on BSE.

Mr. Tarika also said that the stock is going to hit another 52-week high in the coming days. So, buy and hold it to make good profit.

The country's biggest two-wheeler manufacturer posted a 22.52% growth in its total sales during the last month (May 2009).

The company sold 3,82,678 units during the month as against 3,12,317 units during the corresponding period of the last year (May 2008).

Mr. Anil Dua, Hero Honda Motors Senior Vice- President (Marketing and Sales), said, "The strategic building-blocks that we put in place in the past couple of years have been key to our consistent growth month after month."'

The company said that it would raise its network to 4,000 touch points by the end of this existing fiscal.

"Going forward, we will therefore also keep up our relentless effort to reach out to customers spread across the semi-urban and upcountry markets," Mr. Dua added.

On April 28, Japanese two-wheeler manufacturer Honda and its Indian partner, the Hero Group, hope to further strengthen their 25-year-old affiliation.

Both sell two-wheelers comprising motorcycles and automatic scooters, under the same sections, with some cannibalization already taking place.

Both companies may look at sharing features of new products with one another, comprising engines, design series and vehicle platforms.

Honda Motorcycle and Scooter India (HMSI) has already assisted Hero Honda Motors (HHML) in segments such as design and styling for a couple of products.

Currently, HMSI and HHML share a supply chain and details related to production capacity.
