Budget Travellers Will Have To Pay For Luggage
The airline Virgin Blue will charge customers to check in baggage on discounted flights from today.
Virgin Blue customers would be charged a minimum of $8 for checked luggage for each one way-flight on discounted fares.
The passengers would have to pay $20 at the check-in-desk if they fail to pay the charge before reaching departure.
The customers will have to pay twice the amount than they pay online or over the phone. Due to the increase in fuel prices the new charges are the part of a restructuring plan without increasing any the cost of fare.
