Bank of England to replace CAPD

Bank of England to replace CAPDBank of England is looking for candidates to replace the head of the bank's Conjunctural Assessment and Projections Division as Robert Woods concludes his secondment from the U. K. Treasury early next year.

The head of the CAPD will oversee production of the Monetary Policy Committee's forecasts. The central bank is inviting application to replace Woods. The central bank's website states that the person will be responsible for responsible for providing strategic oversight of the economic judgments and background analysis for the MPC and will also gather information from staff, analysis and models from Monetary Analysis. The division is a part of the Monetary Analysis unit led by BOE Chief Economist Spencer Dale.

The candidate will join the central bank that has changed significantly under the leadership of Bank of England Governor Mark Carney. The former Bank of Canada governor has changed the working of the bank in several ways. He has changed the management with the inclusion of appointment of Charlotte Hogg as Chief Operating Officer and also McKinsey & Co. to advise on the BOE's strategy.

A Bank of England spokesman has not commented on the matter and Woods has not offered any remarks yet.
