Balochs take out protest rally in London over release of two terror suspects

LondonLondon, Dec 17: A majority of Baloch living in London took out a protest rally to in front of 10 Downing Street demanding release of Hyrbyair Marri and Faiz Baloch, who they said were not terrorists, but human right activists.

Marri and Baloch were engaged in defending the rights of the oppressed people of Balochistan, they said.

Later the group presented a memorandum to British Prime Minister Gordon Brown that was received by one of his officials, the Dawn said in its report.

The memorandum called upon Brown not to cave in to the demands of the Pakistan Government to extradite the two arrested Baloch leader.

They also urged him to press Pakistan to immediately cease its military operation against Baloch nation and release Sindhi and Baloch human rights activists, stop military and economic aid to the Musharraf regime.

The rally was jointly organised by the Balochistan Action Committee (UK), the World Sindhi Congress, the Sindhi Baloch Forum and the Balochistan Rights Movement. (ANI)
