Bajaj to launch more Kawasaki Ninja in India

Kawasaki-Ninja-250RAfter Bajaj, the country's second biggest two-wheeler maker, has sold over 500 units of the Kawasaki Ninja 250R, price Rs 2.69 lakh (almost equal to that of the Maruti Suzuki Alto), the company is gearing up to launch more high-end products from the Japanese stable later in the year.

In fact, according to the agreement with Kawasaki Heavy Industries Group, the home-grown two-wheeler maker is responsible for importing high-end hi-tech bikes from Kawasaki's stable in the Indian market.

On the other end, Bajaj also takes care of the after-sales service of these products. Rajiv Bajaj, managing director, Bajaj Auto confirmed the development that the company is planning to add more products under its Kawasaki portfolio by the end of this year.

As of now, Ninja is the only hi-tech performance bike that is assembled in the Indian market while the rest come as CBUs in the Indian market. In fact, with a waiting period three months, the Ninja is one of the most-popular hi-tech bikes selling today in the country. Bajaj sell these bikes under the pro-biking line of showrooms across the country.
