Vienna - Two Austrians held by kidnappers in Mali since February have been freed, the Austrian foreign ministry announced Friday.

Wolfgang Ebner and Andrea Kloiber were now in the care of the Mali army and would reach the capital Bamako soon, the ministry statement said.

Both kidnap victims are in good health, according to Mali authorities. (dpa )
