Australia welcomes Jessica after her sailing record
Sydney harbor was crowded to welcome of the 16 years old Jessica Watson. She has registered a new world record in sailing. She is the youngest girl to make a non stop and unassisted sailing record around the world. But the record is now questioned of not sailing far enough.
And as she is in under-18 category she will be not recognized by the World Sailing Record Council. Some critics have made a statement that she is so young to do this kind of adventurous work and it is equally dangerous to do so at this age.
Thousands of well wishers gathered at Sydney harbor to watch Watson clearing the finish line. Most of her friends, family members and The Prime Minister of Australia Mr. Kevin Rudd were also present there to greet her.
Most of the people who present there wore pink color to match with the color of the boat of Ms Watson. This event was also broadcasted live on TV. As per records, she has sailed about 23,000 nautical miles.
