Audi reports 62% sales growth

audiGerman luxury car manufacturer Audi reported 62 per cent growth in sales by selling 1128 units till August, 2008. This growth is more than sufficient in the midst of patchy economic recovery across all key economic segments of the world economy.

In a media interaction, Anil Reddy, head of sales, expressed satisfaction over the sales figures, and said that the luxury car maker sold 1,050 cars during the previous fiscal, and took some concrete measures to push sales in the luxury car segment.

Mr. Reddy also introduced the latest version of the largest selling performance luxury, SUV-Audi Q7, in Chennai on Sunday. The SUV would be available in three engine options - 3.0 TDI Quattro, 3.6 FSI Quattro and 4.2 FSI Quattro; with price tag of Rs 50 lakh and above.
