ASUS, leading laptop manufacturer has launched Eee PC 1000H and Eee PC 904H in India, which are specifically aimed at consumers, who are looking forward to an extra PC for basic computing applications, listening to music, e-mailing and web browsing. This PC will also fulfill their desire of staying connected all the time.

These are the largest mini books launched in India so far. The Eee PC 1000H is a 10-inch notebook powered by Intel Atom processor and runs on Microsoft Windows XP operating system. The Eee PC 904H is 8.9-inch notebook based on Intel Mobile and Windows XP operating system.

Both the notebooks follow R2E, based on Intel Ultra Mobile Platform (A110 800 MHz processor and 945GU chipset), which will reduce the power consumption and increase productivity of the device.

The 1000H and 904H are equipped with same resolution of 1024x600 (WSVGA) and TFT LCD display. They also include Super Hybrid Engine (6-cell), which will boost the battery life for longer operational time. The 1000H has a battery life of around 3.8 to 7 hours and 904H delivers upto 3.5 hours of battery life.

Other common features include 1 G DDR2 DRAM upto 2GB, 80GB HDD, Intel UMA graphics support, Hi-Definition audio CODEC, 10/100 Mbps LAN and 802.11 b/g wireless connection.

The Eee PC 1000H NB has built-in stereo speakers from Dolby Sound Room, 1.3 megapixel webcam and Bluetooth, while the Eee PC 904H is equipped with integrated speakers and 0.3 meagpixel webcam, but it doesn't have Bluetooth and Dolby Sound System.

Both the laptops are available nationwide in the leading retail stores. The Eee PC 1000H is priced at Rs. 29,990 and the Eee PC 904H is priced at Rs. 26,990.
