Ashok Leyland maintains growth
There is no denying the fact that the Hinduja Group flagship firm Ashok Leyland has been successfully able to cash in on the rising demand in the domestic commercial vehicle segment and the results are clearly shown in the unit sales posted by the company over the past few months.
For the record, the company has reported a 56.35 per cent jump in commercial vehicle sales at 7,480 units in August compared to the same month last year. It is to be mentioned here that the company had sold 4,784 units in the same month last year.
As far as its domestic volumes are concerned, the statement issued by the company said that the number stood close to 6,705 units in August, which is up 58.40 per cent as compared to the 4,233 units in the same month last year.
It may be noted here that the exports segment as well showed a high by filing a rise of 40.65 per cent standing at 775 units in the month compared to 551 units in the year-ago period.
In fact, the company expects to carry the growth momentum even in the coming months.
