Apple’s iPhone 2.2 Software Hits the Street The users of Apple iPhone can now download iPhone 2.2, which helps would help them a lot in navigation as it offers easy way to find directions to a particular place. All the users need to do is click on Google Maps once they have downloaded iPhone 2.2.

Now, as Apple has included mass transit and walking directions, as well as street view functionality, to the iPhone's Google maps application. This step will help increase the device’s popularity even more. 

Earlier, Apple had come out with iPhone 2.0, and it seems that with each update, Apple’s iPhone is becoming more and more dominant on its rival Research in Motion, which was hoping to grab some serious attention with the launch of BlackBerry Storm. 

In order to use Google Maps on the iPhone, users just needs to click an icon in the shape of a red man to flip to Street View- a ground-level, 360-degree visual of a specific location coming straight from Google's database.

Other than this, a major boost to podcasters, providing the capability to download podcasts directly over a WiFi connection to the iPhone -- giving wireless availability to both video and audio podcasts by means of the on-device iTunes store is also being provided by Apple. Additionally, if a user wants to tell someone his exact location, all he needs to do is email with couple of clicks. 

“The iPhone 2.2 upgrade also provides greater stability to the Safari Web browser on its device,” said the Cupertino, Calif.-based company.
