Apple iPad available on cash and carry basis
The initial launch of Apple iPad allowed buyers with only a debit card or credit card option, but now has an option to pay cash and carry the touchscreen tablet.
The prior law of card payment was implied to ensure that no one violated Apple's two-iPads-per-person rule. This was recently changed by a Californian native Diane Campbell, who after being turned down by store's employees, contacted KGO, an ABC TV associate in California.
Hearing this CEO, Steve Jobs asked the store to "give a sister a break," thus, revising the policy and allowing the customers to pay cash and avail iPads.
This got an official confirmation from Ron Johnson, a senior vice president at Apple who said, "We want to make sure it's as fair as possible for people to get iPads." However one has to create an account in the store to avail this offer.
