After ‘Kites’ refused to soar and coming down with a thud instead, director Anurag Basu seems to have gone missing from the Hindi film circuit completely. However, the director has absolutely no plans of abandoning his chosen field and has made up his mind to direct three different films next year.

Silence with Ranbir Kapoor and Priyanka Chopra and a film based on the legendary singer Kishore Kumar’s life was in the pipeline for 2011. Although Silence would have been completed this year itself, it happened to get delayed due to Imtiaz Ali’s Rock Star which had Ranbir in it. The dates were pushed to next year accordingly. Now, Anurag plans to squeeze in a third film between the two pre-planned ventures. The details need to be finalized though, admits the director.

Silence is destined to go on the floors from January, next year. The second female lead is yet to be finalized for it.

Diwali did not bring in good tidings for Anurag Basu as he had been under weather himself while having to cope with the ill health of both his daughter and his wife who had fractured her leg. He dispels the rumors of having moved to Kolkata saying that he had only hosted a reality show there.
