Alstom T&D bags two contracts worth Rs 298 crore in HP
Alstom T&D India on Friday announced that it had bagged two orders worth Rs 298.3 crore for supplying equipment for hydro power stations in the state of Himachal Pradesh.
The company said in a statement that it bagged the two contracts for supplying two 400/220/66 kV gas-insulated sub-stations for hydro power projects at Wangtoo and Gumma in Himachal Pradesh.
Announcing the contracts, the company said, "Alstom T&D India has been awarded two contracts with a total value of Rs 298.3 crore to supply two gas-insulated substations (GIS) at Wangtoo and Gumma in Himachal Pradesh."
The Rs 143.3-crore Gumma hydro project includes designing, engineering, manufacturing, supplying, testing, and commissioning as well as it covers civil works of gas-insulated sub-stations on a turnkey basis.
The Wangtoo project is worth Rs 155 crore. It covers designing, engineering, manufacturing, supplying, testing, and commissioning of gas-insulated switchgear, power and instrument transformers and substation automation system.
Alstom also announced that all key equipment for both Wangtoo and Gumma projects will be manufactured by its manufacturing facilities across India.
Stock in Alstom T&D India was trading at Rs 190.70 a share, up 3.42 per cent, in the most recent trading on the Bombay Stock Exchange.
