Affinity Interactive to sell Nevada-based Rail City Casino to affiliates of Truckee Gaming

Affinity Interactive, an Omni-channel media, online & gaming operator headquartered in Las Vegas, has announced the signing of a definitive agreement to sell its Rail City Casino to affiliates of Truckee Gaming.

Located in the Sparks area of Nevada, Rail City Casino is one of the most popular gaming & wagering venues in the region. Over the years, it has become a leading gambling-friendly destination in western Nevada, thanks to its attractive and compelling games. It offers more than 400 slot machines, in addition to a keno lounge. Overall, the venue’s gaming floor spans approximately 24,000 square feet. It also offers a number of famous dining options, including Ale House American Café.

Andrei Scrivens, Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of Affinity Interactive, said in a statement that the company has a goal to offer engaging gaming experiences for its fast-growing customer base. According to the top executive, the sale of the venue to affiliates of Truckee Gaming is in line with its goal to make its core business stronger and boost its growth.

Confirming the sale of the venue, Scrivens said, “As part of the Affinity Interactive family, we expanded our offerings and capabilities, allowing us to continuously enhance the Rail City experience for our valued customers and gaming enthusiasts.”

The top executive didn’t disclose the financial details about the transaction. However, he confirmed that the deal will most probably close by the end of 2023.

It was back in November 2022 when Affinity Interactive announced the promotion of Scrivens to the position of CEO. Before being elevated to the top position, he served the company as chief financial officer (CFO). His promotion coincided with the company’s planned growth, and it is likely that the sale of the venue will provide a boost to the company’s growth plans.

Although the company has entered into a definitive agreement for the sale of the Nevada venue, the transaction may still take several months to complete. It is worth-mentioning here that the sale is subject to usual closing conditions as well as certain regulatory approvals. Financial details are expected to be disclosed sometime later.

Affinity Interactive leverages innovative technology to combine online media platforms with its land-based gaming venues in Nevada, Missouri and Iowa. Through its online gambling verticals and land-based gaming properties, the Las Vegas-based company serves as many as one million customers.
