25 passengers injured in high-speed train collision with sheep

GermanyFulda, Germany  - A collision between an Inter-City Express (ICE) and a flock of sheep inside a rail tunnel near Fulda in central Germany left 25 people on board the train with minor injuries.

The collision killed 20 sheep and caused the train to derail south of Fulda with 170 passengers on board. The train's occupants were evacuated to a nearby community centre.

ICE train 885 had left Sunday evening from Hamburg and was southbound for Munich on Germany's major north-south rail link. (dpa)
