Younis advocates for revised IPL contracts
Pakistan team skipper Younis Khan has advocated for revised contracts for their team players in the Indian Premier League after their win in the ICC T20 World Cup in London earlier this month.
Younis said that their team players should be given more value for their performance as now they are World champions and their players should ask to their agents in India for hike in price from their respective IPL franchises.
Kamran Akmal, Sohail Tanvir, Umar Gul and Misbah-ul Haq were signed for just $100,000 or less by their respective IPL franchises in the inaugural season of IPL in 2008 while Pakistani players could not participate in the second season of IPL which held in South Africa.
IPL commissioner Lalit Modi has earlier said that Pakistani players can participate in the IPL next year if the Pakistan government and the Indian government give the permissions to play them in India.
