Wipro, Microsoft Expands Strategic Alliance; Launch Wipro Centers Of Excellence

Wipro Technologies and Microsoft Corporation has made announcement Stephen Elop, President, Microsoft Business Divisionabout the expansion of their strategic coalition and the opening of two Wipro Centers of Excellence, which will showcase Microsoft technologies at Wipro’s facilities in Bangalore as well as Mysore.

At the new high-tech centers, the customers can visualize and appraise exact business and industry-based scenario solutions with an instructive and synergistic experience.

Besides, the companies have also made multi-million dollar investments for customer participation in sales, marketing and service resources.

The state-of-the-art centres will concentrate on solutions and services on windows Vista and Microsoft Unified Communications.

According to a release, dedicated Wipro resources will work to put together the different business communication technques into a single, inter-enterprise wide solution across several devices for e-mail, calendaring, voice and telephony, presence, instant messaging and short messaging service.

Stephen Elop, President, Microsoft Business Division, said, “This strategic alliance will enable our customers to take full advantage of Microsoft's technologies along with Wipro's unique approach to business systems implementation. We believe the combination of Microsoft Unified Communications software and Wipro's industry solutions will redefine the way companies communicate with their customers and within their own organizations.”

Wipro will also flourish to cover up new geographies along with Microsoft in the Middle East (United Arab Emirates and Kingdom of Saudi Arabia), whereas at the same time accelerating growth within North America, Europe and India.

This is in proportion to Wipro’s increasing presence in these market segments and their promise to the Microsoft platform.
