Wipro Infotech, an end-to-end IT solutions provider, has secured a-nine-years IT outsourcing contract from Unitech Wireless by whipping the strong competition from the other global players.

Under the deal, Wipro Infotech would provide a range of IT services to Unitech Wireless. In addition, it  will also deploy component based Service Delivery Platform (SDP) for Unitech Wireless to deliver wide range of services.

Unitech Wireless stated in a communiqué that it has awarded the contract to Wipro for creating the next generation telecom company.

It should be noted that Unitech Wireless is launching state-of-the-art telecommunication services to provide advanced wireless voice as well as data and ILD/, NLD services.

Yesterday, Wipro Infotech’s parent company Wipro Technologies has entered into an agreement to acquire Citi Technology Services Ltd, the India-based captive provider of information technology services solutions to Citi entitles worldwide, for cash consideration at $127 million.
