Wipro to hire fresh faces; Plans to go the non-linear growth pathIndian Technology major Wipro has decided that it will go for the non-linear growth strategy for next two to three years. On the other hand, it is also planning to recruit fresh faces for the coming fiscal.

The third largest IT Company in India has decided that it will focus on growing without going for higher recruitment, which means that it has chosen to go for non-linear strategy. This has been decided since the company expects the IT market to become more turbulent in the coming period.

Talking about the growth strategy Girish Paranjape, joint CEO of Wipro told a private newspaper, Business Standard that till now the non-linear initiative contributes only 8 per cent of the total revenue. Wipro now plans to double this and for that it is planning to invest 2 per cent of its total revenue on non-linear initiatives.

He further added that the IT market at present suffers from issues like high cost, consumer spending being low, which are going to cause trouble in the next decade. Wipro is getting ready to face it.

Meanwhile, the company is going to recruit close to 75,00 freshers in the next two quarters.
