Windies name unchanged squad for final two ODIs
In a significant move, the selectors have decided to retain the same 13-man team, which played in the first two opening matches against India, for the final two ODIs to be played in St Lucia on July 3 and 5.
Jamaican all-rounder David Bernard Jr and promising left-hand batsman Darren Bravo, who scored 19 in the first match in his ODI debut and did not bat in the second, retained their places in the 13 member team.
Currently, the four-match ODI series is locked at 1-1 with both India and West Indies winning a match each.
While the Indian team won the first ODI by 20 runs, the hosts stormed to an eight-wicket victory to draw level.
The third ODI between the two teams will be played on Friday while the fourth is slated for Sunday.
Squad: Chris Gayle (capt), Denesh Ramdin (wk), Lionel Baker, Darren Bravo, Dwayne Bravo, Sulieman Benn, David Bernard, Shivnarine Chanderpaul, Narsingh Deonarine, Runako Morton, Ravi Rampaul, Ramnaresh Sarwan, Jerome Taylor.
