We're co-operating with all agencies - Says KXIP
The Kings XI Punjab team has said that it is ready to co-operate all agencies. The team management has also assured to help BCCI as well for any further investigation. The IT Department has gone for a raid in the Kings XI office and demanded certain documents for the investigation procedure.
It has also asked the Kings XI Punjab officials to provide certain documents about the ownership pattern of the team. After the issue of financial irregularities in the IPL, the IT Dept. has also started investigating the flaws of the franchisees.
Mohit Burman is one of the share holders of the Kings XI Punjab team and he is known to be a relative of IPL chairman and Commissioner Lalit Modi. As Mr. Modi has been suspended and is currently facing the trials, Burman came to the list of suspects.
BCCI president Mr. Shashank Manohar had also raised questions about the team’s ownership structure. The complete team has come under the scanner of the Income Tax (IT) department. However, the Indian media have also informed that Burman is keen on selling his share in the Punjab team.
