Volkswagen Group is aiming to capture 8-10% of market share

Volkswagen-VentoThe German carmaker Volkswagen has unveiled its all new sedan Vento. This vehicle is to be launched later half of this year. It has been specially designed and manufactured in India only. The Vento will be available in both petrol and diesel versions and will have a 1.6 litre engine.

India has become a strategically grown up market for the Volkswagen Group. The Volkswagen Group has informed that it is aiming to attain 8-10% of the market share in near future. It is also anticipating that it may able to double their sales this year.

One major concern for the group is to stimulate their brand's growth within the country. Even though they are refusing to disclose the price of the sedan, they have hinted that it will be "competitively priced" and customers will get good value for their money.

The Vento promises to come with first-class safety and luxury features with special attention given to the attributes like space, style, comfort and safety.

The Chakan plant in Maharashtra will be manufacturing this model of sedan. This plant has an annual capacity of 1.10-lakh cars. As per the company, the car will be available through 47 dealerships across the country.
