The paidContent.org has reported that Microsoft has trademarked the name “Sift”. According to the online media hub, the trademark description indicates that Microsoft is looking to use the tradename “Sift” in connection with mobile phones. According to trademark description, the name Sift stands for "operating system software for mobile phones; computer search engine software; computer programs for searching email, text messages, address and contact information.”
