Teachers involved in simulated lap dance lost their jobs

An official said on Monday that two Canadian teachers who got a burst of Internet video fame with a simulated lap dance in school are no longer employed by the school.

The Canadian Broadcasting Corp. has reported that a Winnipeg School Division representative issued a statement saying the male high school teacher who simulated oral sex on his colleague will not have his contract renewed and the female teacher has resigned.

The teachers, whose names were not reported, had been suspended with pay since the sex-charged dance routine during a school-sanctioned spirit event at Churchill High School in February.

Students described the episode like "sex on the dance floor," the CBC said.

It was also noted by CBC that a 1-minute video of the teachers' performance wound up on YouTube and other Internet sites where it was viewed by millions of people worldwide. (With Inputs from Agencies)
