Tata Teleservices Maharashtra (TTML), the country's youngest and fastest-growing pan-India telecom service providers, has announced a consolidated net loss of Rs 34.26 crore in the first quarter ended June 30, 2009.

It should be noted that the telecom firm had also incurred a net loss of Rs 34.72 crore in the June quarter last fiscal.

However, the company remains successful to register a marginal growth of 2 per cent in its total income, which grew to Rs 513.42 crore in the quarter under review from Rs 504.89 crore during the same period previous year.

On Standalone basis, the company incurred a net loss of Rs 23.06 crore in the quarter under review, as compared to standalone net loss of Rs 34.72 crore, same period, last fiscal.

Tata Teleservices' standalone total income surged to Rs 510.75 crore in the quarter under review from Rs 504.89 crore in the same period last fiscal.
