Leading Broadcasting firm Sun TV has announced its first quarter financial results for the fiscal year 2010-11. According to the report, it has registered a significant 43% net profit rise.

Sun TV has posted a net profit of Rs 170.95 crore for the quarter that ended in 30th June, 2010. This net profit is 42.69% up from the net profit figure of the similar quarter in the last fiscal.

The company has registered a net profit of Rs 119.8 crore in the same quarter in the previous year. Sun TV has informed this in a filing at the Bombay Stock Exchange. There has been a hike in the total income of the company as well.

The total income of the company has gone up to Rs 451.72 crore during the first quarter of fiscal year 2010-11.

The total income of the company in the same quarter in the preceding year was Rs 301.88 crore. There has been an increase of 49.63% in the total income of Sun TV in the quarter under review against its like period a year ago.
