Sri Lanka has taken an unbeatable lead of 3-0 against Pakistan in five ODI match series after defeating Pakistan by 6 wickets in the third ODI match at Rangiri Dambulla International stadium on Monday.

Sri Lankan opener M Jayawardene (123) and W Tharanga (76) put together a record partnership of 202 runs on this ground for the first wicket. Sri Lanka chased the target of
289 runs without facing any difficulty with 6 wickets to spare after this impressive partnership.

Earlier, Sri Lanka won the toss and asked Pakistan to bat first. Most of the Pakistan batsmen managed to get good starts but debutant U Akmal (66) was only batsman to score half century.

A Mathews and M Muralitharan took two wickets each while T Thusara chipped in with one wicket.

Pakistan has not won even a single match on their tour of Sri Lanka as they lost the test match series 2-0 and now they have lost first three matches of five ODI matches series in a row.
