Sri Lanka takes 2-0 lead in ODI series
Pakistan faced another batting collapse as Sri Lanka won the second ODI match of the one day series by 6 wickets at Rangiri Dambulla International Stadium today. Sri Lanka has taken 2-0 lead in the five ODI match series.
Pakistan skipper Younis Khan won the toss and elected to bat first. Pakistan team got to bad start as opener N Jamshed lost his wicket on the very first ball of the match. The batting collapse continued as Pakistan bundled out for just 168 runs on the board. 26 extra runs were top scorer for Pakistan.
Sri Lankan team also struggled against Pakistan pace attack and they lost four wickets for just 74 runs on the board. But Chamara Kapugedera and Thilan Samaraweera added 95 runs for 5th wicket as Sri Lanka chased the target with six wickets to spare.
The third ODI match will be played on the same ground on Monday and Pakistan will have to win that match to keep their hopes alive in the series.
