Sri Lanka to play against New Zealand tomorrow
Sri Lankan team will play against New Zealand in the first T20 match of the two-match T20 series at Colombo on Wednesday. Sri Lankan had defeated New Zealand 2-0 in the test series and they will try to continue their winning strike in T20 also.
Sri Lankan batsmen will have to watch out for New Zealand pacer S Bond. Bond will make comeback in the International cricket with this T20 match as he was banned by ICC due to joining rebel ICL and he was granted amnesty by New Zealand Cricket Board after he ended his contract with ICL.
M Muralitharan and A Mendis troubled Kiwi batsmen in the test series and the spinning attack will be key for success for Sri Lankan team in this shorter format of cricket also.
S Jayasuriya and T Dilshan will open inning for Sri Lankan team. Dilshan played exceptionally well in the ICC T20 World Cup earlier this year in England. Sri Lankan team lost the final match against Pakistan in the T20 World Cup in May this year.
