Sreesanth fined for abusive language
S Sreesanth has landed into yet another trouble.
The pacer, representing the Rest of India, has been fined sixty per cent of his match fee for using abusive language towards Mumbai's Dhawal Kulkarni on the second day of the ongoing Irani Cup match in Nagpur.
Sreesanth, 26, has been charged under clause 2.8 of Level II, which refers to “using offensive, obscene language/gestures.”
The charge related to an incident that took place after Kulkarni took a single off Sreesanth and words were exchanged as he crossed over.
The verdict was announced by match referee K P Bhaskar.
Bhaskar has also charged Kulkarni under clause 1.4 of Level I for instigating and wrongfully accusing the opposition bowler and brining the game to a halt.
