Speak In Right Ear To Get Right Response
Recently Italian researchers found that speaking in the right ear of the person may get the right response. Research team found that request heard by the listener through his right ear was more frequently accepted as compared to request heard by the listeners through his left year.
Researchers believe that the sound coming from each ear is differently processed by the regions within the brain hemispheres dealing with hearing.
Study also indicated that information that goes in through the right ear is processed in a better way. The possible reason behind this phenomenon could be that right ear is linked with the left side of the brain, which is responsible for analytical and logical skills.
The research team analyzed data collected from three different studies conducted in nightclubs. In the first study, researchers observed that 72 percent out of 286 clubbers used their right year for listening, while interacting with others amid loud music.
During the second study, researchers found that 58 percent out of 160 people offered their right ear to listen when researchers mumbled words in hushed tones, to hear the researchers better.
In the third study, researchers asked 176 clubbers for a cigarette, speaking either in their right ear or the left. Request was fulfilled more often when it was made in the right ear.
Researchers Luca Tommasi and Daniele Marzoli said: “We humans prefer to be addressed in our right ear and are more likely to perform a task when we receive the request in our right ear rather than our left.”
