Spanish ambassador set for imminent return to Honduras
Madrid - Spain's ambassador to Honduras will return "imminently" to the Central American country, which he left on July 3 to protest the ouster of Honduran President Manuel Zelaya, the Spanish Foreign Ministry said Thursday in Madrid.
The ambassador would travel to Tegucigalpa as soon as the Organization of American States (OAS) and the European Union had confirmed the return of their diplomatic representatives, the ministry said.
The ambassadors were due to help establish a dialogue between Honduras' de facto government and Zelaya, who returned from exile on Monday and took refuge in the Brazilian embassy. dpa
