Jobs had reportedly picked picked Isaacson himself to chronicle his life story from among many famed biographers. Isaacson, a former managing editor of Time Magazine and former Chairman of CNN, has written widely regarded accounts of figures including Henry Kissinger and Albert Einstein.

Global tributes keep pouring in for Apple's co-founder days after Steve Jobs died at the age of 56. The detailed story of his life is expected to be released in two weeks. The book is already number one on charts through pre- sales.

The book, "Steve Jobs," by Isaacson portrays Jobs as a man "driven by demons," according to publisher Simon & Schuster. However, eh is also hailed as one of the world's greatest visionaries and innovators ever.
