Somdev crashes out of Aptos ChallengerIndian tennis star Somdev Devvarman has crashed out of USD 75,000 ATP Challenger event after he lost his match against Australian Chris Guccione in .

The sixth seeded Somdev was outplayed in straight sets by the seventh seeded Chris by 2-6 1-6 in the semifinal match of the tournament.

This standout performance in the tournament earned 29 ATP ranking points and prize money of USD 3765 for Somedev.

Earlier this year, Somdev reached into the final of the Chennai Open and this dream run in the Aptos Challenger was his second best performance in the carrier so far.

Meanwhile Indian campaign has come to an end in the doubles event also as the pair of India's Harsh Mankad and American David Martin also lost their match.

The second seeded pair of Harsh-David was outclassed by the third seeded pair of Australians Guccione and Carsten Bell in the straight sets by 3-6 3-6.
