Snehasish fined Rs 2 lakh by IFA

Snehashish ChakrabortyThe Players' Status Committee of the Indian Football Association (IFA) has imposed a fine of Rs 2 lakh on Snehasish Chakraborty while IFA also permitted him to join Mohun Bagan for the upcoming season on Thursday.

Snehasish alleged East Bengal for forging his signature on the contract with club while the handwriting experts report confirmed that the signatures on the contract paper were original due to which IFA decided this punishment for him.

IFA secretary Utpal Ganguly termed the allegation on East Bengla baseless saying that the report of handwriting experts revealed that Chakraborty's signatures were not forged and they have fined him Rs 2 lakh.

He further added that Chakraborty would have to tender an unconditional apology to East Bengal and he has been free to join any club as he do not want to continue playing for East Bengali in the ongoing season.

Although Chakraborty denied charges against him saying that the signatures on the contract paper were not original and he will pay fine of Rs 2 lakh to play for Mohun Bagan.
