Small fire extinguished at Finnish nuclear power building site
Helsinki - A small fire was extinguished early Wednesday at the building site of a nuclear power reactor at Olkiluoto, south- western Finland, officials said.
The fire was detected in some scaffolding material inside the reactor building being constructed but was extinguished by emergency services, power company Teollisuuden Voima (TVO) said in a statement.
No-one was hurt in the fire.
Finland currently operates four reactors, of which two are located at Olkliuoto where construction is underway on a fifth reactor. (dpa)
