Vivek Shokeen, who got wild card entry, has stormed into the second round of the India F5 Futures ITF tennis tournament with prize money of USD 15,000.  

Shokeen defeated Vijayant Malik by 3-6 6-4 7-5 in the first round of the ITF tennis tournament at the DLTA complex on Monday.

Although, Vivek started on a negative note as he lost the first set by 3-6 but he came back strongly to win the next to sets to win the match and advanced to the next round of the ITF tennis tournament.

Vivek will now play against Vikram Reddy in the second round who defeated Vaja Uzakov of Uzbekistan by 6-3 7-6(7) in his first round match.

In another match, PC Vignesh defeated Srirambalaji Narayanaswamy by 4-6 6-3 6-1 while Abhijeet Tiwari defeated Ronak Manuja by 7-5 7-6(3) in their respective first round matches.
