Shoaib Akhtar in trouble once again

Shoaib AkhtarPakistan Cricket Board (PCB) has slammed a show-cause notice to the controversial fast bowler Shoaib Akhtar for violating three clauses of his central contract with the PCB as confirmed by sources on Sunday.

PCB has asked Shoaib to give reply of the notice, which was signed by Director of Cricket Operations Zakir Khan, by 31st July and PCB has rights to punish him if board will not be satisfied with the answer given by him for his defense.

Shoaib denied the allegation rose by PCB on him and said that he would give the answer to notice after consulting his lawyer.

Shaharyar Khan, former PCB chief, has supported selectors' decision to leave Shoaib from Champions Trophy squad saying that he was not fit enough to be considered in the squad of 50 players as he has been overweight and he could not be selected in the national team for a major ICC tournament such as Champions Trophy.

Meanwhile, the hearing of Shoaib's petition against the fine of 7 million rupees compelled by PCB has been adjourned till Monday by Lahore High Court on Friday.
