Sharif ready to work with Zardari
Lahore, Mar. 30: Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz chief Nawaz Sharif has expressed willingness to have a working relationship with President Asif Ali Zardari, who has fulfilled most of the PML-N’s demands.
Zardari agreed to restore the deposed judiciary in Pakistan, and has now he has accepted a proposal to lift the Governor’s Rule in Punjab.
In an interview to the Wall Street Journal, Sharif said the reconciliation process allows them to work together with the government.
Sharif also said the PML-N wanted the present government to complete its tenure, while adding that no single party could meet the challenges the nation is facing.
He also spoke against the politics of confrontation.
On the US inference in Pakistan, Sharif said there was no problem working with the new management of the United States, and that he appreciated President Barack Obama connecting with Pakistani leaders. (ANI)
