Seagate rolls out the new line of HDD, GoFlex
The hardware maker Seagate has launched a new range for external HDD family called as the GoFlex that boast of certain vital advancements, such as multi-port HDDS, media players etc.
Prior to the GoFlex, Seagate's FreeAgent line was the staple thing for takers. With the availability of the GoFlex family, one can now opt for more varied ranges for any hard drive maker.
Normally the primary intent for a HDD manufacture is to create drives but this HDD (ranging from 320GB to 2TB) comes with extra goodies for all.
Talking of its compatibility, it is friendly with both Macs and PCs (simultaneously) at the same time offering an ability to upgrade their connection or switch it out depending on what workstation they come across with. This new addition supports the USB 2.0 and can always be upgraded to USB 3.0, FireWire 800 or eSATA can be attained via the new GoFlex cable system.
The next in line of extension is - GoFlex TV HD media player, which acts as a link between tele and media, irrespective of whether it's stored on the HDD, on the LAN or on the internet. Continuing with the next is the GoFlex Net media sharing device, It basically works by converting a USB mass storage device into a content storage device from the 'net akin to Pogoplug.
