Screening Of ‘Jodhaa Akbar’ Banned In UP
Now Uttar Pradesh government has banished the screening of Ashutosh Gowariker’s arguable film Jodhaa Akbar, over the backdrop of Rajput community's protestations against the movie.
The sources said that the government is worried of the reaction of the Kshatriya Samaj that has taken discourtesy to some parts of the country.
From the very beginning, Jodhaa Akbar has been bounded by controversies from all sides.
Principal Home Secretary J.N. Chamber said, “We have decided to ban Jodhaa Akbar following intelligence inputs that indicated a possibility of clashes among communities.”
The film, based on the life of the Mughal Emperor, has become a subject of hatred for the Rajputs as they said that Ashutosh has hurt their emotion and they felt that the ace filmmaker has humiliated them by showing up wrong conceptions and has exploited Indian history.
