Rustom Patel has won the Gulf Monsoon Scooter Rally by recording a timing of 26 minutes and 29 second to finish at the first position in Mumbai on Sunday.

Patel, who was driving a Honda Activa, won the race at the dirt tracks of Navi Mumbai while Ganesh Lokhande of Nashik, who was driving Kinetic Marvel, recorded a timing of 28m 23s to finish at the second spot.

Pune's Snehal Chavan was at third position with timing of 28m 40s in the Gulf Monsoon Scooter.

Rustom said that he has been excited by this win as before on earlier occasions he had missed the title by short margins.

He further added that his whole family has been participating in racing and one of his sons Zubin, who was best rider among them, was injured so badly in an accident that he could not participate any more in the games.
