Ricky Martin criticizes Donald Trump
US businessman Donald Trump has been criticized by singer Ricky Martin as a result of remarks made by him about Mexicans in America, when he launched of his presidential campaign earlier this month. He slammed the businessman a day after Colombian star J Balvin called off his Miss USA performance in July after Trump’s speech.
After that, pageant co-hosts Roselyn Sanchez and Cristian De La Fuente also quitted the show. He wrote in a message on twitter, "There's much hatred and ignorance in your heart @realDonaldTrump #LatinosUnidos."
Trump's reckless comments regarding immigration also made the Spanish-language TV network Univision to stop their coverage of the Miss Universe Organization's pageants.
The businessman distressed critics, while launching his presidential campaign launch, telling supporters, “The US has become a dumping ground for everybody else's problems. When Mexico sends its people, they're not sending their best... They're sending people that have lots of problems, and they're bringing those problems with us”. He said that they are bringing drugs, crime and they're rapists and some are good people according to him.
He also said that it’s coming from Mexico in addition to all over South and Latin America, and also from the Middle East.
