Richard Holbrooke likely to visit India on April 7
New Delhi, Mar 29 : United States Special Envoy to Afghanistan and Pakistan, Richard Holbrooke is expected to visit India on April 7 to discuss how India could cooperate in US efforts to end terror threat in those two neighbouring countries.
During his visit, Holbrooke will meet Foreign Secretary Shivshankar Menon and National Security Advisor M. K. Narayanan.
The US envoy will then visit Pakistan to finalise the modalities of further US aid to Islamabad in his meeting with Pakistani officials.
Holbrooke would also discuss the regional security situation during his meetings with Pakistani officials.
The visit is to come after the US President Barack Obama, unveiled a new Afghan-Pakistan strategy on Friday.
Holbrooke in his first visit to India had described Taliban a `common threat' to the US, India and Pakistan. (ANI)
