Reliance Entertainment Arm Signs Gaming Deal With Manchester United

Jump GamesJump Games, a mobile game developer and part of Anil Ambani’s Reliance Entertainment, has signed contract worth $ 100 million with Manchester United football club to design, develop and distribute mobile games.

Under the three-year agreement, Jump Games will pay a license fee to Manchester United for creating content centred around the club. The deal also includes a revenue sharing engagement, details of which were not disclosed.

Manchester United Football Club is an English football club based at Old Trafford in Greater Manchester. The club has about 30 million registered fans in India, making India the third largest fan base for the English soccer club.

The three-year deal with one of the world’s most popular club will allow Jump Games the rights to build quizzes, puzzles and even 3D football games around Manchester United. With this global tie-up, Jump Games will develop and distribute six mobile games for the Club every year.

Jump Games also plans to tie up with mobile vendors, handset manufacturers and web portals across the globe in order to popularise its gaming content.

The mobile games will be available from April 2008 for all mobile devices.
