Kampala - Ugandan military officials said Monday that 14 soldiers from the Democratic Republic of Congo have been arrested during the past two weeks after illegally crossing the country's porous western borderline.
"We apprehended them on three counts: suspected enemy intentions against a good neighbour, illegal entry and suspected thuggish intentions against Ugandans," western region army spokesman Captain Tabaro Kiconco told Deutsche Presse-Agentur dpa.
However, Kiconco said the soldiers would be handed back to the Kinshasa authorities.
