The buzz of social networking has seemingly stung the Indian telecom companies as well.

The latest reports are that RCom has launched of a new VAS app- Socially. This allows people to socially unite via Facebook, Twitter and LinkedIn.

Socially will be available in all R Worlds and shall aid in connecting users with their friends via a single platform RCom. This feature is compatible with 3G platform and updates social information of the caller whilst an incoming call and aggregates all the important happenings and sends them as push-ins.

RCom Head (VAS) Krishna Durbha said, "With this service, RCom has made the phone address book far more powerful and linked it to social networking sites like Facebook, Twitter and LinkedIn. In future, the use will also be extended to video calls".
