Raj Thakre''s MNS now targets Pak signboard

Raj-ThakreMumbai, Jan 23, : After targeting Pakistani books, songs and comedians, Raj Thakre''s MNS has now targeted a signboard carrying the name of a Pakistani city.

Local MNS activist Rajendra Deshmukh has warned the owner of Karachi Sweets to remove his signboards within 10 days or face the wrath of MNS.

Based in Mulund, Karachi Sweets is three decades old and is very well known in the area, according to the owner so it is not so easy to change a name within 10 days.

MNS leader Shishir Shinde has asked the owner to change the shop''s name and said, "If big industrialists can change the logos of their companies, why can''t this shop change its name? "It will hurt Maharashtrian and Indian sentiments if the owner refuses to do so. Why stick to the old Pakistani name," Shinde added.

Instead of assuring protection, the local police has asked the shop owner to change the name of the shop to "Mumbai Sweet House".

"We wanted to prevent a problem and advised the shop owner to take a quick decision on renaming the shop", said Police officer. (ANI)
